Ahh, the Power of Cheese
Gouda, co-jack, ricotta and cheddar,
A window display for people to see.
It’s hard to decide which is the better,
With so many choices in front of me.
The owner inside is called “Pepper Jack,”
He makes the best cheese for miles around,
He carefully stores his wares on the rack,
And everyone wants his cheese by the pound.
While thinking of cheese my mouth starts to drool,
My fingers they itch to snatch my own treat,
I walk in the store and feel like a fool,
In battles of wills, the cheese has me beat.
I reach my hand out and Jack bellows “FREEZE!”
He’s slapping my arm, yelling “NACHO CHEESE!”
"Many people hear voices when no one is there. Some of them are called mad and are shut up in rooms where they stare at the walls all day. Others are called writers and they do pretty much do the same thing." -Meg Chittenden
